                          Page's Six accounts for Headley

This match was unfortunately spoiled by a plethora of lbw decisions few of which came within any resonable interpretation of the Laws Of Cricket. J Pickering was a big turning leg break bowler.

Jeremy Lascelles avoided this peril on the day compiling an important 61 run innings. What looked like too powerful a mid order for this match contributed little so that the last wicket of 25 runs was to prove crucial.

Headley were two short although they had expected them to turn up.After an early run out Headley strove boldly to reach their target attacking the slow bowling of Page and Blumberg to good effect. However Page's guile amidst the carnage accounted for six batsmen and Blumberg trapped one lbw(perhaps?)so Pickering senior was left undefeated on 40 as his partners ran out after 32 overs.
