Once again Nomads top order folded against a none too hostile or skillful mostly teenage bowling attack. The innings for what it was, was rescued by a long stonewall stand by Charlton Lamb and Michael Blumberg (combined age 141)which extended after tea.
On another day with a balanced decent bowling attack Nomads may have prevailed even with such a modest total. However a quick fifty from Ripley's Kiwi overseas player sealed Nomads fate which considering we were only ten players and very mature was perhaps inevitable.
Our one younsgster Shahzad Satter bowled well as did his father but unfortunately two overs of the President's short spell were a catastrophe!
The tea was very good and we were lucky to avoid the rain. Quite why we were only ten was not established!
