Nomads beat Cobham Avorians in a high scoring match thanks largely to a finespell of bowling at the death from James While. Nomads hit 272 off 40 overs, a century from James While and fifties from Andy Smith and Charles Peerless.
Avorians batting was much stronger then their bowling and despite losing five wickets mounted an aggressive sixth wicket stand which threatened to take them to victory. However the late introduction of While and Peerless restricted the flow of runs and then in a great final 40th over While took a wicket and conceded no runs.
