More Wakers less seam and a win may  have been the prize

At Vincent Square Paul Wakefield brought his overseas form with him and completed a third century for Nomads so far in 2004 & Faisal struck a sparkling 63. Ilija Krunic on debut took 3 wickets and with ‘Wakers’ taking three as well, this game, which looked to be slipping away from us as Ireland & Kershen put on 180 for the 2nd wicket, nearly became an exciting victory with 3 wickets wanted in the last over.

Wakers took the first with his first ball but then with all the fielders clustered round the bat failed to repeat this success despite the evident insecurity of the female batsperson at the crease.
