We played two short matches and won both on a glorious summer's day at Abinger. Two visiting teams turned up to play Abinger so a three matches of 15/15 were arranged. There some dissenters but al were persuaded to play and not waste such a wonderful afternoon. Nomads just squeaked home in the first by 3 runs but won the second easily. For the record in the deepening gloom Shalford beat Abinger.

Nomads were ancient if distinguished side for this match with some good bowling.the batting was hardly selected for a Twenty20 let alone a Fifteen15. Nick Cooper and Bill Johnson nevertheless reached 25 to be retired both returning at the taid end as the lower order collapse under 'pressure'
A Total of 112 seemed modest against unknown opposition.Their openers added 52 before Rogers was bowled by Clark and then Smith was bowled for a duck by Blumberg. After 8 overs Shalford were 55-2. Wickets then tumbled to Page and Fellow-Smith and Dippenaar retired.
Nomads seemed to be in control whereupon Patel with amost curious technique set about Page hitting him for several sixes before being caught miscue-ing out in the covers. His attack had almost won the match for Shalford.Page finished with 5-32 most of which were hit off his final over.Alexander behind the stumps conceded not a single extra.
