Nomads batsmen fail the challenge

Princes Risborough batsmen batted cautiously against Nomads for much of their innings. At 20 overs and drinks they were but 57-1,at 40 overs 162-2 whereupon they accelerated, scoring 111 runs off 8.3 overs. Rowley hit seven sixes including five in one over from Blumberg! the second six in the over off the third ball was in fact caught by Andy Marshall but having caught it, he stepped backwards, ugh! Then the next three balls went for huge sixes. PR declared after 48 overs leaving Nomads a target of 274 off 48 overs too.

Nomads batting line up on paper was strong but in the event and after a splendid tea we lost  two quick early wickets and then although six batsmen got in, none went on to make a big and therefore decisive score.

We had reached the comparatively decent position of 153-6 in the 33rd over when both Ormistons, Corrigan and Mike Walton fell for the addition of 4 runs. Nomads' top scorer in the previous two days games was thus left not out 0 having played out one maiden over.
