 Nomads bowlers slaughtered

On a belter of a pitch at NPL, Nomads elected to bat first and needed to have scored somewhat quicker than they did, declaring so that NPL had a potential 39 overs in reply.

A score more like 260/270 would have challenged them a bit more. Teenage Medic Pitts did give two chances early on but then played a fluent and ever more powerful innings that left run machine Churchman very much second fiddle. With a lot of batting we would perhaps have been better placed to chase a total ourselves.

Our bowlers took quite a mauling especially Bloomers who was lucky to get away with only 29 off 2 overs.

W Pitts a medical student thereafter went missing as far as NPL is concerned. Obviously a medic worth finding again but on our side!
