H ampstead Nomads started the season with 25 members and finished it with 37. More games were played than ever before, a whole-day and a half day match being arranged for practically every Saturday up to the end of July. The club has relied very much on FC Boully and LG Kirkpatrick, two brilliant all round players:but other goodmen such as Cattley,Habershon,C Browning and Crawfurd, the last named being kept out of the field for two months by an accident-could not play regularly, and a few who appeared only three or four times do not figure in the averages. LF Matthews, who is only nineteen should be of great help to the club in the future:and much is hoped from Austin Bloomfield when he comes down from Oxford. His elder brother,HE, who joined the Indian Civil Service last Autumn, left a gap. At Southgate last year he hit 15 balls out of the ground in an innings lasting under an hour: and tappers of his kind are not easily replaced. As reported in CRICKET A WEEKLY RECORD OF THE GAME October 12th 1912
The AGM was held at The Chanticler Restaurant Frith Street with Mr SHL Greaves(Hon Treasurer) in the Chair on Thursday October 24th at 8.15pm
