A very enjoyable tour with a welcome large party mostly of youngsters played disappointingly on Saturday and Sunday when Sporting Alfas put out   competitive sides. A fit Thewlis would no doubt have made a difference and a few more sober heads on Saturday morning.Short of bringing some teetotal Antipodeans I presume we must always live with that uncertainty.  

 Nomads won two matches and lost two.

On Saturday March 14th Nomads CC  173,39.2 overs(Thewlis 72,Latchman 35,Abbas 3-23,Spencer 2-25) lost to Sporting Alfas 1st XI 174-2,22 overs(Spencer 78*,A Ali 49,Munoz35) by 8 wickets    

On Sunday March 15th Sporting Alfas Sunday XI 220-8,40 overs(Pennick 64,Johnson 71,Munoz 33,Sialvi 3-22,Blumberg 2-45) beat Nomads CC 124,25 overs(Sialvi 33,S Barter 26,Rofoe 3-14,Mariner 3-41,Cowley 2-19) by 96 runs  

On Monday March 16th   Forty Club Of Spain 191-8 dec,39 overs(Laundon 88*,Dovaston 26,Ramzan 4-22,Whitworth 2-55,Foster 1-12) lost to Nomads CC 195-1,33.2(Latchman 100*,Sialvi 78,Taylor 14*) by 9 wickets
