Abandoned but in a good position

At Holmesdale Nomads/Virgin rattled up a fair total with contributions from Andy Smith, Paul Brown, James While and Jeremy Lascelles, a cameo from 'Sarge' was cut off in mid flight with a mid over declaration. Asif Mohamed Siddiqui and Faisal Khan Rana both of whom attended the Nomads annual dinner on May 25th quickly reduced the Holmesdale innings to tatters. The introduction of Sargent and Scarr produced some stouter resistance but still two more wickets. By the time the rain came Walford and Mills had added some 40 runs with the skipper doubtless planning the reintroduction of Faisal and Asif. Rain was the winner and the match left as a draw
