A Very Enjoyable Day

Simon Collins reports that under a beautiful clear blue sky Nomads enjoyed themselves at Middleton Stoney but failed to force a win as veteran George Lamb and Dickens batted out time.

Nomads' powerful top order failed to motor in idyllic conditions and it was up to Singh and Sen to repair the innings and set a competitive total.

Perhaps the memory of last year's two 'ringers' delayed Nomads declaration for there was certainly not the bowling penetration to remove Middleton Stoney inside 36 overs.

It was Singh and Sen who took most of the wickets and these two certainly enjoyed successful debuts.Well done!

Once again a sumptuous barbeque was consumed after the game by the very hospitable Middleton Stoney Club.
