                           Rescued by Bowlers

Nomads were dreadfully short for this attractive fixture on a fine Autumn day.Luckily the opposition provided three and young Master George Clark made up the eleven.

Despite several useful batsmen in the top order as well as some usually obdureate the nnomads innings was soon in tatters and never recovered as we were bundled out for a mere 78 in 30 overs.

After the loss of an early wicket the oppo' seemed to be coasting towards a massive win at 39-1 but then wickets began to tumble ever faster to Charles Fellows-smith ably supported by Richard Clark. Suddenly the innings was all over in  under 22 overs and Nomads had recorded an astonishing victory.

A favourite hunting ground this for Charles who had previously recorded a 7 wicket haul.

A good volume of Fullers ale was consumed in celebration as the sun set over this beautiful ground.
