East African Wanderers Shropshire Tour
Played 2 Won 1 Drew 0 Lost 1 Cancelled 3
The Shropshire Tour this year was a victim of the foul weather with three of the five matches cancelled. Nomads/East Africa Wanderers only just lost the match at Oswestry town with only 7 needed off the last over.A few less giant swishes and more bat on ball and we would have won. EAW cantered home against Alberbury. A good number of current and former Nomads participated.

The East African Wanderers Tours of Shrophire were started by Don Mann and friends, 'refugees' from Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania and they and their siblings and heirs have carried on ever since. In 2003 the tour was encorporated within the Nomads Cricket Club programme. From the outset the tours were much frequented by Nomads members and since 2003 increasinly the tour is made up of current and former Nomads. Don still tours but the organisation is now in the hands of his two sons Russ Mann and Middy Mann.
